The Gist team is a closeknit group of people who are committed to discovering new ways for solving interesting design challenges. We encourage professional growth and are continually improving our practice of research and design to better serve our clients.
Giving back to the community — locally, nationally, and internationally — is one of Gist's core values. As conscientious and caring global citizens, Gist supports community in a number of ways.
Both of Gist's offices are in renovated historic buildings in urban areas. We support responsible re-use and sustainable living.
The Pittsburgh office is located in an historic landmark — the Terminal Buildings — located on the South Side. In recent years, extensive renovation of the buildings has complemented similar initiatives to clean up the Monongahela River, its banks, and surrounding areas. The Gist office was renovated according to green building standards and is LEED certified. Gist employees enjoy miles of walking and biking trails along the river, with access to dining and retails hotspots.
Our Fort Worth office is in the historic Texas & Pacific Railroad Terminal. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978 and recorded as a Texas Historic Landmark in 1980, the 1930s Art Deco-style terminal now houses living, working, and dining spaces in downtown Fort Worth. From this location, Gist enjoys quick access to Fort Worth and Dallas by foot, car, or rail.
